"In my 25 plus years as a Casting Director, I cannot even imagine how many auditions I have watched. Considering the many thousands that I have had the privilege to view, there really aren't many that are truly memorable. I know this sounds sad, but I don't look at it as an indicator of lack of talent on the part of these actors, but more about the skill and technique many actors lack when it comes to auditioning. One actor whose auditions have always stood out as being professional, extremely solid and memorable is Heather Gilliland. She approaches every audition with obvious preparation, thoughtfulness and confidence. As a result of this hard work along with her extraordinary talent, she has landed numerous roles over the years I've known her. I was delighted to hear that she would be teaching acting classes with an emphasis on audition techniques. Any actor who studies with her should consider themselves very fortunate. Now with the new age of digital self taping, I'm sad to say that many actors have lost that edge on how to make their audition stand out. Even though auditioning in the comfort of your own home may be convenient, it is also weakening the actors' ability to deliver a great audition. So run, don't walk, to enroll in Heather's class and up your game, get your edge back and start booking some jobs!"

"As a casting director, I watch a lot of auditions. And when Heather Gilliland reads for a role she is always in the top tier of consideration. Regardless of the character Heather's performance comes across as believable and real, which is not easy to do. If by working with her you are able to glean some of how she does that, then it will help elevate your craft. The experience is sure to make you a better actor."
